Insufficient memory is a common problem we usually see in most of the android devices. We usually face this issue whenever we try to download an App from the Play store. This problem can be solved by a simply clearing the Cache Memory in our device. Cache Memory is a temporary storage unit which stores all the frequently used data as well as the application data for quick access by the processor. Even the applications we download from the playstore are first stored in the cache memory and then installed to the Device storage or External storage. But the size of this cache memory is limited due to which when the cache memory is full, we get this error of insufficient storage while downloading our favourite apps from the store.
So before we download an app we need to first clear the cache memory. The Cache Memory can be accessed by going to the settings panel and in the Storage settings, there will be something called Cached data.
Select the Cached data and select Delete. This will clear all the cached data which has been stored by the device and creates some space for the application to download.
Additionally if want to delete more junk data then you can clear the Miscellaneous Files as well.
Now that we have created some vacant space for our app to download, let’s reattempt to download the app.
The application will now download and install successfully without any issue. If the problem still arises you can move some of the already installed apps from the device memory to the external memory or uninstall some unnecessary applications from the Device.
